Hoosierville

This is a picture that I took of a poster, I recently saw on a trip Indianapolis. Me and my friends were walking around downtown and I saw this design hung on the side of an old building. Instantly I fell in love with it, because it was so spontaneous and fresh. It turned out that it was an artist's studio, and he had created this work to be displayed on the back side of the building to attract people's attention to his shop. I really liked that it visually expressed his style, and that it portrayed some of the issues important to him. It was a great way if advertising himself to the public. I also think that it was a good idea that the design had a mirror image. I think that if the artist had chosen something else, the piece would be less effective . And At the very top of the work (near the flaming hand) you can see some text; it's the artist's signature and philosophy, how clever!
